Somehow March has turned into a busy, busy month. I am learning how to use my free time in a more productive way, and I’m actually enjoying the challenge. As a fam with no kids and a pretty slacker-tastic lawn, my evenings are usually free to do what I please. But with lots of travel, weekend outings and family visits, I’ve had to be on top of it.
Here’s what’s been going on in my neck of the woods (and beyond):
Two weekends ago I journeyed to DC for a quick visit to see my college besties. Our beautiful friendship began in Adams Hall at Dickinson College in 2006. In August we will celebrate 10 years of friendship, and it was pretty funny to note how different life is now. We were in bed by midnight both nights and not one person tripped on their high heel. Look how far we’ve come!
My oldest friend of all time, Abbey, also lives in DC and was kind enough to scoop me from my hotel and take me to the airport that Sunday. In between, we had a few hours to kill during which we wandered aimlessly, ate pizza and one made very illegal U-turn. Very reminiscent of our years in central Pennsylvania, wandering the back roads, finding crazy abandoned houses to hang out in. Love this lady! #cepa4lyfe
This past weekend, we celebrated my love’s birthday in Hot Springs, NC. Check out that loft where we got to sleep! Both of us slept like babies for 9+ hours both nights, it was crazy. We soaked in the mineral tubs twice, enjoyed a low country boil and lots of campfire sitting. It was perfect!
Now, we’ve got family in town, and more coming this weekend.
Let the whirlwind continue!
